Welcome
PayMidWare lets your business take payments through the payment gateway you already use: send invoices with a pay link, charge saved cards and bank accounts, run repeat billing and ring up sales at a counter. This guide covers the Portal, the website where you manage all of it.
Finding your way around
Everything for your business lives under My account in the top menu. You only see the areas your role allows, so if something is missing, ask an Admin on your account to grant it.
- Transactions: every payment, with Void, Refund and Capture where they apply.
- Customers: your customers, their saved payment methods and their schedules.
- Invoices: create, send, resend and void invoices.
- Products and Tax rates: the catalog and rates you pick from when you build an invoice or schedule.
- Scheduled payments: recurring or future-dated charges.
- Billing, Usage and Integrations: your plan, what you have used, and connections such as QuickBooks.
- Notification settings: the emails your customers receive.
- Support: the knowledgebase, the FAQ and your support tickets.
The pieces that matter
Your gateway account
The company that actually processes your cards, such as Stripe, Square or Authorize.Net. PayMidWare connects to it with your own credentials, and the money goes straight into your own account.
Your PayMidWare account
What you manage here: customers, invoices, schedules and settings. It can belong to PayMidWare directly or to a software provider that serves you.
Card numbers are never stored by PayMidWare. Customers type card and bank details into your gateway's own secure fields, and PayMidWare keeps only a token. More about security.
