Setting up your account
From a new account to a first test payment.
Create your account and sign in
Sign up on this website, or use the signup page your software provider gave you. Either way your account is active at once. You are shown a temporary password exactly once; it works one time, and the Portal sends you straight to a page to choose a real one before anything else.
The first time you sign in you are asked to read and agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. You can read both at any time from the links at the bottom of every page.
Check your business details
Your account page holds the details customers may see on invoices and emails: logo and branding colors, business name, email, phone and website, the support reply-to address, billing address and your default tax rate. Review them once when you start. Changes apply to documents created from then on; invoices already sent are not rewritten.
Connect your gateway
My account → Credentials
Pick your gateway from the list, choose Sandbox or Production, and fill in the fields that gateway needs. The form is write-only: once saved, no page ever shows the secret again, only that the gateway is set up and enabled. If you have more than one gateway, choose your default.
Test in Sandbox first with the gateway's own test credentials, and switch to Production only when you are ready to move real money.
You need your own merchant account and gateway account to take real payments. If you do not have one yet, tell us and we will help you get set up.
Take a first payment
Add a customer, create an invoice for a small amount and send it to yourself. Pay it from the link, then find the payment under Transactions and refund it. See Invoices and the pay page.
